Antipodes has just published De la Lumière à l'Ombre: Lausanne 1923, a tragi-comic tale in which the stars of traditional Near East shadow theatre, Karagöz and Hacivat, journey to Lausanne in search of wealth and liberation.

27 July marks the centenary of the only post-WWI treaty still in force today: the Treaty of Lausanne.

I was honoured to be commissioned by the director of the National Gallery, Gabriele Finaldi, to write the official bicentenary history of that institution.
