New York launch of ‘The Met’

This 16-24 October I will be in New York, launching my new history of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. On Thursday, October 17th I will be appearing at the Metropolitan itself, in conversation with Deputy Director Andrea Bayer. This will be followed by an early evening event at the Columbia Center for Archaeology, discussing the Met’s first director, Luigi Palma di Cesnola. On Monday, October 21st I will be in conversation with former Met archivist Jim Moske at the Grolier Club. If you can’t make it to the Club itself, you can attend online. In between I am looking forward to hearing what NYU and Bard Graduate Center students think about the book.
