Centenary of the Lausanne Treaty

24 July 2023 marks the centenary of the only post-WWI treaty still in force today: the Treaty of Lausanne. In 2017 I co-founded The Lausanne Project (TLP) to prepare for the centenary, and to encourage fellow scholars, students and the general public to consider the legacy of the treaty, particularly the forced displacement of 1.5m people that it mandated. As part of this I contributed to the UK Government blog as well as Mailias Film's documentary on the treaty, broadcast on Al Jazeera Arabic.
